The Proline Parking Lot Maintenance team designed, striped, and installed concrete wheel stops for a new multi-level concrete parking garage at Junction 49 in Charlotte.
Harkins Builders hired us to create a safe 4-story parking deck that maximized usable space, complete with designated EV and ADA parking zones.
We designed a safe and efficient 4-level parking deck using supplied blueprints and the client’s specifications. Our team knocked this one out of the park, and the client was super happy with the results.

Here’s How the Project Went.
Project Completion Time: 5 days

The parking deck was a new construction that needed parking stalls, no parking hash boxes, an EV charging station, ADA parking zones, directional markings, and wheel stops. With 4 stories of parking spaces to cover, it required 5 solid days of steady work to get this project to the finish line.
Proline worked closely with the builders and property manager to design a functional parking lot that maximized usable space and traffic flow.
We worked Monday through Friday to get this project finished and the parking deck open for business.
Here’s how this 5-phase parking deck striping project went.
Because this was a new parking deck, our first task was to plan out the parking lot design. We worked with the client and used the detailed blueprints of the parking deck to plan out each level, marking out stalls, optimal placement of disability and EV parking, traffic flow, and where wheel stops were necessary.
Once the parking deck design was approved and the supplies arrived, we got to work.

Step1: Clean Debris Off The Parking Deck
Before beginning any project, we blow off debris, sweep, and clean the surfaces and cracks. We did this before.
Step 2: Mark The Lines
The crew got to work marking the lines using measuring tape, plumbs, and the approved layout blueprints. We identified where directional and other stenciling will go according to the approved layout.
Step 3: Install Wheel Stops
With the parking stalls clearly marked, the Proline crew installed concrete wheel stops between stalls and in front of concrete walls to prevent overdriving and collisions.
Step 4: Line Striping & Stenciling
Now for the fun part! Our expert stripers applied precision parking stall lines and hash boxes using our trusty laser line striping machine. Other members of our crew stenciled disability parking, C stalls, EV charging stalls, STOP lines, and directional arrows to keep the traffic flowing smoothly.
On days 3 and 4, we striped the 2nd and 3rd stories of this parking deck.
We followed the same process for each level: sweeping, measuring, marking, and installing wheel stops where needed.

On day 5, we turned our attention to the rooftop level of this parking deck.
Rooftop parking decks present unique challenges. First, the sun made it difficult to see the laser line, so while one crew member painted the lines, another crew member created a shadow using a crate.
Second, it’s windy at the top of a 4-story parking deck! We had to take extra care when airbrushing the stencils and block the wind while we worked.
The Proline Parking Lot Maintenance crew met the challenge head-on and achieved amazing results.
Quality Control and Finishing Touches
Although we quality-checked every level before moving on, before we considered this 4-story parking deck striping project complete, we inspected every detail and made any finishing touches.
We finished the parking deck Friday afternoon, and it looks awesome!
