Point Blank Range hired the Proline Parking Lot Maintenance crew to refresh their 20,000-square-foot asphalt parking lot with sealcoating and restriping.
Given the excellent condition of the pavement, the project involved a straightforward application of two coats of sealant and ADA-compliant line striping, ensuring a high-quality and durable finish.
We restored their dull gray asphalt to a beautiful blacktop finish and applied precision lines using high-quality, high-visibility traffic paint.
Our meticulous work resulted in a visually appealing parking lot and enhanced safety and curb appeal for Point Blank Range.
Here’s how this parking lot restoration went.

To keep traffic off the parking surface, we taped off the entrances.

A proline crew member blows dirt and debris to the curb so the sweeper can clean it up.

Using a push sweeper, we removed dirt, leaves, and other debris to create a clean surface for sealcoating.
After cleaning the surface, we applied the sealant to the parking lot.
We used the sprayer to apply a line of sealant along the parking lot’s edges. Then, we spread it evenly along the curbs using squeegees and smoothed it out for even coverage.

With the curb lines beautifully covered with a smooth sealant layer, we turned our attention inward. Using a sealcoating sprayer, we covered the entire parking surface with an even sealant layer.
We take pictures, that’s how!
Proline’s policy is to take an image of the crew members applying the first coat of sealant, the finished first coat, the crew members applying the second coat, and the finished second coat. We share those with the client so they can see the process.
Take pictures of your crew applying the first sealant layer from edge to edge and the finished first coat. Then, take photos of them applying the second coat and finished product to show the client proof that you applied two layers of asphalt sealant to their parking lot as per the contract.
There may be paving companies that charge you for two coats of sealant but only apply one, but we aren’t one of them. Proline is all about quality, honesty, transparency, and exceeding expectations.
Our crew spread sealant into the corners using squeegees to ensure complete coverage.

After waiting about an hour for the first coat to dry, we applied a second coat of sealant to the parking lot, repeating steps 1 through 4.
Once the sealcoating had dried enough, we marked out the parking stalls, crosswalk, and ADA parking area.

We painted parking lot lines and applied stenciling for ADA stalls and directional and traffic control to create a welcoming, safe parking lot for Point Blank Range’s staff and customers.
